MODERN DAY INVENTIONThe invention?
>> The Handphone =.=
The problem before handphones: if you need to use a phone, you had to find a public phone probably a few blocks away! And you needed a phone card or a 10-cent coin. If you don't have the 2 items, you don't even have to think of using the phone. Now:Now, with handphones, you just have to reach into your pocket and viola! You can call the person you are just dying to talk to!
History:In 1984, bell labs invented such a "call handoff" feature, which allowed mobile-phone users to travel through several cells during the same conversation. Motorola is widely considered to be the inventor of the first practical mobile phone for handheld use in a non-vehicle setting. Using a modern, if somewhat heavy portable handset, Motorola manager Martin Cooper made the first call on a handheld mobile phone on April 3, 1973.
